Basic Chaffle "Bread"
- 1 Large Egg Whisked divided
- ½ cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese divided
- 1 sprinkle Everything but the Bagel Seasoning
Sweet and Savory Chaffles
- 1 Large Egg Whisked
- ½ cup Mozerella Cheese
- 1 tbsp Almond Flour
- 1 drizzle Choc Zero Sugarfree Syrup
Instructions
Basic Chaffle "Bread"
- Preheat mini-waffle iron (about 5 minutes)
- Whisk one egg in a small bowl
- Sprinkle half the cheese on the waffle iron
- Pour half of the whisked egg over the cheese
- Sprinkle remaining cheese on top of the egg
- Sprinkle Everything but the Bagel Seasoning over the cheese
- Close waffle iron lid and allow to cook unitl the light turns off (about 3-4 minutes)
- Carefully remove chaffle from the iron using a fork
- Use remaining ingredients to make second Chaffle
Sweet and Savory Chaffles
- Preheat mini-waffle iron (about 5 minutes)
- Whisk egg in a small bowl and stir the mozerella cheese and almond flour in to combine
- Pour half of the batter in the waffle maker
- Close waffle iron lid and allow to cook unitl the light turns off (about 3-4 minutes)
- Repeat using the remaing batter for the second Chaffle
Notes
- You can get as creative as you would like with your chaffles
- Add cinnamon to the batter
- Slice jalapeños and place them on top of the first layer of cheese before adding the egg for spicy jalapeño cheesy bread
- TIP: You’ll know the chaffle is done when steam is no longer coming out the sides, or at least very little is coming out compared to earlier. Some waffle makers also have a light that will tell you it’s done.
- Let the chaffles cool completely to reduce eggy taste.
- Chaffles can be stored in the refrigerator and can be reheated on the stove top, air fryer, or oven after.
- TIP: Have all of your ingredients together for the number of chaffles that you would like to make. This process goes fast, so be ready to start the next batch as soon as the one you are on is complete.
