The staff of Vitality Anti-Aging Center & Medical Spa are licensed professionals with many years of medical experience. We are trained to give the best care possible to each and every one of our clients.

Charles McKaraher, MD

Dr. McKaraher is board certified in Family Practice and Emergency Medicine. He has years of experience working in Hickory. He has worked in the Frye Regional Emergency Department and currently co-owns Piedmont Urgent Care of North Carolina. He is trained and experienced in non-ablative laser treatments. Doctor McKaraher is the Medical Director for Vitality. Doctor McKaraher and Grace McLaurin, PA-C have worked together for the past 12 years.

Grace McLaurin, PA-C

Grace McLaurin has been practicing in the Hickory area for the past 17 years. She is a Certified Allergan Duet Trainer and Speaker that has trained over 50 practitioners in Botox and Juvederm injection techniques. In addition, she trains others in sclerotherapy techniques, advanced skin rejuvenation, and Bioidentical Hormone usage. Ms. McLaurin has advanced training in multiple laser systems. She has extensive experience in Internal Medicine and Women’s Health. Ms. McLaurin received her PA degree from Wake Forest University.

Todd Hinceman, NP-C

Todd Hinceman, NP-C has been a nurse practitioner since 2002. He is a graduate of Duke University where he received a Masters degree in Nursing with focus in acute care and family nurse practitioner programs. He has a special interest in weight management, nutrition, fitness, metabolic syndrome, male hormone imbalances, laser facial rejuvenation, Botox, and facial augmentation utilizing various dermal fillers.

Dr. Monica Hemmen, D.C.

Dr. Monica Hemmen, D.C. attended the University of South Florida in Tampa, where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology/Pre-Medicine, graduating Magna Cum Laude. She finished her doctoral studies at Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa in 2006, receiving a Doctorate of Chiropractic degree, graduating Magna Cum Laude and was on the President's Honors List for Outstanding Academic Achievement.

Angela Townsend, Front Staff Manager

Angela leads our front office staff in the day to day operations at Vitality. Angela has over ten years customer service experience and Medical office administration. Angela is available to answer any questions regarding services and products offered at Vitality. In her free time Angela enjoys antiquing, spending time with her family, and collecting cookbooks.

Deanna Drum, LMBT & Licensed Aesthetician

Deanna has been with Vitality since 2007. She has worked in the spa industry for over 13 years. With this experience, she is able to share her knowledge with each client she serves, whether it is through massage, skin care or laser services. Making her clients feel pampered is her specialty! In her free time Deanna enjoys coaching Junior Girls Softball, and traveling.

Emily Landrum, Nail Technician

Emily specializes in Minx and Brisa gel nails. Emily is also skilled in manicures and pedicures. Emily graduated from Cosmetic Arts Acadamy as a licensed manicurist in 2006.

Jean Paspa, Licensed Aesthetician

Jean has practiced independently for the past 3 years in a local salon. She has experience with facials, Microdermabrasion, light treatments, make-up, eyelash extensions, and skin care. She is well versed in our skin care lines and can help you customize your skin care regime. She is also experienced with Xtreme Lash eyelash extensions.

Keisha Setzer, CNA

Keisha has worked with Grace for many years and has extensive experience in women’s health and aesthetic treatments. She currently assists Grace and Todd in the office. She also works closely with our weight loss patients. When not at Vitality Keisha enjoys spending time with her family, and jet skiing.

Leslie Shaw, CNA

Leslie has been part of the Vitality staff since opening in 2006. After working as a front desk receptionist, she wanted to become part of the medical team and earned her CNA Certification. She enjoys assisting both Grace and Todd for both medical and aesthetic visits, as well as assisting our weight loss clients achieve their goals.

Lori Winstead, Office Manager

Lori has extensive experience in medical billing and medical office management. She is a certified insurance coder and is very familiar with the daily needs of a busy medical practice. In her free time Lori enjoys spending time with her family, Thrift shopping, and DIYing.

Lynn Brady, Massage Therapist

Lynn apprenticed under Deanna Drum after graduating from Maiden School of Massage & Bodywork Therapy. Lynn's natural ability, talent and easy demeanor have already received praise from many of our clients. We are very happy to have Lynn as part of our Massage Team.

Lynsey Frey, Esthetician

Lynsey's passion for skincare is obvious to her clientele by her desire to assist her clients in looking and feeling their best. Lynsey specializes in Microdermabrasion, Chemical Peels, Waxing, Facials, & Makeup Application.

Melissa Woods,LMBT

Melissa is certified in Massage Therapy and Medi Cupping. Melissa specializes in deep tissue, sports massage, and Medical Cupping. During Melissa's free time she enjoys spending time with her son and dog training.
